TREC Scotland  was established as a club in 2010 in order to promote the sport of TREC and to run training and competitions for members and non-members alike.

We wish to encourage increased involvement in the competing and organisation of TREC events.

If you would like to offer help to the club in any way shape or form, be it running a competition, helping at a competition or offering some form of financial assistance such as event sponsorship then please do contact us, we would love to hear from you!

TREC SCOTLAND

Welcome to TREC Club for the Central Belt, Perthshire, Fife and Angus, Argyll and Highlands and Islands.

The sport of TREC was brought to the UK in 1998 and has now expanded into a popular and accessible equestrian activity.

British TREC is based on the French discipline “Le Trec”. Its French name, Techniques de Randonnee Equestre de Competition gives us the abbreviation TREC.

The concept of British TREC is to test the expertise of everyday grass roots riders who enjoy the thrill of riding out either as an individual or pair in unfamiliar countryside. It tests their navigational competence, control of their horse’s paces and their ability to tackle a variety of obstacles.

NEWS..... Entry form now available to download on the Events page for the Scottish Championships
